The Shadow Band "Ajaneb" Vinyl LP
$35.00
Ajaneb, the word for "foreigners" in Arabic encapsulates the emotional and sonic timbre of The Shadow Band's much anticipated second release. Recorded with improvisational and exploratory intention, the album flows in the grey area that exists in the West's extensive influences from Arabic, Eastern and African cultures and music. Electro Buzuk dances with Fender Rhodes... Synths fly with Oud and Saz... sometimes funk, sometimes jazz. Always Arabi yet always multipolar.
The Shadow Band is:
Naima Shalhoub- Keys, Synths, Vocals
Aaron Kierbel- Various Percussion
Michael Reed- Drum Kit
Chris Trinidad- Synth Bass, Bass Guitar
Tarik "Excentrik" Kazaleh- Producer, Oud, Electric Guitar, Saz, Electro-Buzuk, Synths
